Point Zero Eight: Saturdays aren’t ‘get outta jail free’ days

PUBLISHED: May 27, 2017

Every Sunday, the Courier & Press publishes names of those charged with drunk driving in the past week.

This project is to show the public the process of getting a OMVWI in Vanderburgh County.

Driving under the influence is usually a misdemeanor charge, and those charged don’t serve jail time outside of their initial arrest. It’s a misdemeanor that could turn deadly quickly.

Last fall, the Tri-State community had five fatal deaths involving intoxicated drivers, according to local law enforcement.

To follow along with each person’s case, visit Point Zero Eight at courierpressblogs.com/dui.
